Our director's sketch of the main Characters "Klause" and "Shark"
This was the beginning of a 15-week class, I was assigned to create the Shark's head (Note: coffee was a must). I used insulation board as the bulk of the armature. It was the largest armature made for Stopmotion II.
(FRONT) Oil based clay being added.
More Clay.
Adjusting heights of clay by adding and subtracting clay.
Referring to the director's sketch is very crucial.
Adding a pingpong ball and marble for the eyes. Lots of smoothing with a heat gun and rib tool.
(Front)
Here, i added barnacles and texture.
The surface represents a higher level of detail using stamps. Around it, there is a wall of foam board glued to the base. This marks the first step to creating the mold.
